IssuesEconomy Our country was founded on free markets and free market enterprise. But as our government has grown bigger and more intrusive, politicians have created layers upon expensive layers of bureaucracy and that has driven our country to the brink of a depression. I believe that businesses need a hand up, not handouts. Unchain companies from costly state mandates. Lower the tax burden so businesses can use that money to invest in infrastructure, equipment and to create good jobs. Unionization should not be forced on any worker or company. Qualified workers should be free to seek employment anywhere regardless of union affiliation. We are smart, industrious and hard working. Let competition rule the marketplace once again. That’s how we made our economy into the strongest in the world. That’s how we will get our economy back on track. Stop “Crumble-Down” Obama-nomics. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs: I guarantee it. We can attract new quality jobs; Increase private investment for wealth and new job creation; Revitalize the housing market and release an economic boom by Scrapping the Corporate Income tax. We currently raise $1.7 Billion in revenues but lose 10 times that by choking investment and chasing companies to other states or overseas. Implement my 40-40-20 Freedom in Education plan which will give us more value for our education dollar and net a property tax cut. Family Friendly budget: Limit spending increases to inflation. We have done a mediocre job in crisis years, post 911, hurricanes and our current revenue short full. We have over spent in non-crisis years. Had spending increases been limited to inflation we would not be having a shortfall now. Stop Frivolous Lawsuits: Trial lawyers oppose loser-pays. The Business Community wants artificial caps on judgments. My position will anger both lobbies, but I must do what is right. I am for loser-pays because I believe it is self-regulating. I am against artificial caps because it penalizes legitimate claims. I would consider an objective cap equation. Lower Insurance Rates with competition between plans and practitioners within plans No New Taxes without Voter Approval No New Legislative Pensions: The Founders wanted a citizen legislature, not professional politicians with pensions
